 Ever since I caught my first fish, a bluegill on a red/white red devil spoon, I have wanted to do only one thing: FISH!!! I was born and raised in Nashville, TN and spent most of my life fishing Old Hickory Lake. Shortly after getting married I moved to South Florida to learn and better understand the charter/guide service business all the while with the full intention of returning to start OHGS.  While in Florida I worked on off-shore charter boats and commercial fished in both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico and learned more then I could have ever hoped about running a successful service. After returning to Nashville I knew I was ready to start my own business so I earned my US Coast Guard Captains License and started Old Hickory Guide Service. I still have the same passion today as I had as a young boy who had many sleepless nights thinking about fishing. Even on my days off from guiding I can typically be found on the lake with my son fishing. Last year alone I was on the water over 200 days and still have nights I cant fall asleep from thinking about fishing !!!  When I am not guiding I tournament fish all over the southeast and have several regional and local tournament wins to my name including winning the Tennessee Bass Federation state tournament in 2020. I have built my business on honesty and customer service and am very proud of that fact. I have always been 100% upfront and honest with people regarding the current bite and have lost countless trips because I have told people the fishing is tough when it is. Meeting your expectations is of the upmost importance to me and would rather loose the trip today but gain your future business and respect. I cant make the fish bite but I will guarantee you that no one will work harder or try and make your trip memorable then myself.
