Old HIckory Lake Guide Service Fishing Report- 09/07/2013

Fishing on Old Hickory has been pretty good the last couple week's with good numbers and some pretty good quality as well. Had a productive day today with numbers and although we didn't get to tangle with any big fish we still had a ball. Our most productive bite is still coming off river and creek ledges in 10-20 fow. I talk to a lot of people who are catching fish in the creeks beating the banks but as long as there is an off shore bite, that is where you will find me. The corp has been pretty good as of late about generating enough in the afternoons to produce enough current to get the fish positioned correctly on the drops which makes it easier to catch them when you find them. The water tempature has held pretty steady in the low to mid 80's on the river and hopefully will continue to hang around there for a while longer. Most of our fish have come on big worms, jigs, c-rigged plastics and big crankbaits. Most productive colors have been green pumpkin, watermelon and black and blue for plastics and natural colors with some chartreuse for the crankbaits. The schools are still hanging on those ledges so dont give up on the deep bite just yet!!!
