Old Hickory Lake Guide Service Fishing Report- 08/07/2013

Posted by ian on August 7, 2013

This report is for the last 2 weeks. Fishing has defiantly picked up as far as numbers of fish being caught. We are catching quite a few fish on each trip and it continues to improve daily. We are catching numbers shallow with the better fish coming deeper. You can catch fish from less then 1 ft of water out to 30ft right now with tons and tons of fry up shallow holding huge numbers of fish from pulling out.  Early in the day we have been fishing shallow stuff until they turn the water on and then we are trying to stay on our deeper drops. We have been catching the majority of our shallow fish on squarebill's and sinko's around docks and Spro DD crankbaits, c-rigged plastics and jigs on the offshore stuff. Hopefully the water will continue to warm some on the river which should pull more fish out to the ledges before they get ready to head back to the creeks for their fall transition. We still have days available this month so give me a call and lets go fishing!!!
